It was an amazing run to the 18U PGF Platinum bracket championship game last week for Batbusters Gomes – Clark. Multiple media sources reported the championship game as “two teams putting on a defensive clinic for 7 innings” and “a game for the ages” as the two teams battled to the very end. Coach Clark, who unfortunately had to return to work up north Friday, said that this Summer has been incredible and amazing from day 1, as he was beaming with pride about the team. “It’s been one of the best seasons I/We have ever had, these kids just flat out ball, they don’t know quit!, He said before the last game of the season.
Sending all 5 of their seniors off to play college ball on this high note is definitely bitter sweet, but the future is definitely bright for the remaining Batbusters Gomes – Clark squad.
