Batbusters Gomes Clark 18U coaching staff is pleased to announce, catcher & 3rd baseman, Izzy Starr’s commitment to Humboldt State University. Izzy committed to Coach Shelli Sarchett on September 15, 2018. The HSU Jacks compete in the California Collegiate Athletic Assoc.
As a student-athlete Izzy was focused on finding a school that fit her academic needs as well as have a successful softball program. At HSU Izzy plans to major in Film. When asked why she ultimately chose Humboldt State she said, “I knew from the moment we left our hotel I was going to love Humbolt State, it’s beautiful. When I had a chance to meet the team, the coaching staff and Coach Sarchett I knew I had found my home. They also have my major and the structure Coach Sarchett has in her program will assist me in being a successful student-athlete at HSU.”
