Alyssa Pope commits to University of Pennsylvania

Head Coach Todd Clark and the Batbusters Gomes Clark 18u coaching staff is pleased to announce the commitment of 2019 catcher/ outfielder Alyssa Pope to the University of Pennsylvania.  Alyssa committed on September 27, 2018 to Coach Leslie King.  The Quakers play in the highly competitive Ivy League Conference.

When asked why she chose to play at the University of Pennsylvania, Alyssa explained that she “chose the University of Pennsylvania because it has always been a dream of mine to continue my education, and play softball at an Ivy League school.  I plan on majoring in psychology, and Penn’s highly regarded psychology program made it my number one choice.  I fell in love with Philadelphia, and the history of the school.  The facilities and academic support at Penn are outstanding.  Coach King and her staff are building upon a great Ivy League tradition, and I knew I wanted to be apart of it.”

Alyssa, on behalf of your Team, Coaches and the Batbuster Gomes Organization we are all very proud of you and your accomplishment.  You have worked extremely hard to realize your goal.  We all cannot wait to see you write the next chapter of your life at Penn.  Your hard work and Dedication on and off the Field have been recognized and appreciated.   Congratulations to you, your Mom and Dad for staying strong.
