The Batbusters Gomes Jason coaching staff is excited to announce the recent commitment of 2019 P/1B Shaye Mott to Willamette Univ! Shaye is an extremely talented, hard working player and student athlete and we know Shaye will be a great addition to the Bearcat family, just as she has been to the Batbusters family! Willamette is lucky to get you Shaye!
When asked why she chose Willamette, Shaye said, “I chose Willamette for more than one reason but I would have to say the top reasons are the location and the type of school. I knew pretty much from the start that I didn’t want to leave the west coast because I tried the ice and snow and it was not for me. So I looked at smaller D2’s and D3’s mostly in Oregon because that where I decided I wanted to go, I contacted the coaching staff at Willamette and they were very nice from the beginning. I visited the campus for a camp and felt the beauty that the campus holds, and the great kindness that the coaches have for each of their players. I chose Willamette not only for the softball but also for the high academics that the school provides, it allows me the best opportunity for my future after college“.
